Counsel Design Group is a Los Angeles-based design-build firm, and we are seeking new team members to join our quickly expanding studio! CDG is a bespoke firm, focused on full-service interior design, construction, and project management, with projects ranging from high-end residential remodels to ground-up multi-family buildings.

Our goal is to provide exceptional, thoughtful, and original design, with a strong focus on accessible luxury. Further, our client relationships and their experience are at the forefront of our mission as a firm. CDG is quickly establishing itself as a studio that pushes the design boundaries and explores new avenues of construction, all while maintaining entrenched and classic approaches to the overall design process.

Junior Designer

  • We ask that any applicant have at least 3 years of experience in luxury residential remodels, ground-up construction, and project management at an established design firm. This individual will assist the Senior Designer in generating presentation decks, vendor correspondence, creating and managing schedules (FF&E), sourcing and procurement, obtaining quotes and samples, and assisting in project management. They must have exceptional proficiency in AutoCAD; this position will have a strong emphasis on illustrative plans/elevations, technical plans (demolition, framing, plumbing, RCPs), and shop-drawings for custom millwork, stonework, steelwork, etc. Candidates must be extremely organized and deadline-oriented.

    This person must be a self-starter, with excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Formal education in interior design or architecture is an added incentive, and applicants must have some knowledge of California building codes.

    Applicants should have working knowledge of the design process: Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.

    • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Interior Design.

    • Advanced skills in the entire Adobe Suite

    • Experience with Studio Designer is a plus

    • Extreme proficiency in AutoCAD

    • Knowledge of local California building codes

    • Must have a working vehicle for office & client-related meetings

  • Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday

    • Los Angeles, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
